Pratt Fine Arts Center Teen Programs
Pratt’s teen program is specifically designed for teens (13 – 17) who want to explore art making in a professional studio environment.   Students gain understanding of complex concepts, problem-solving, risk-taking skills and discover positive ways to articulate the way they think and feel. Students celebrate their strengths and develop the skills they need to become healthy, contributing adults. Pratt provides opportunities for teens to develop a foundation for success through the process of making art, which has been shown to motivate and engage students, as well as to increase their ability to develop abilities associated with academic success. Pratt is committed to racial equity as a core value and ongoing practice, allocating resources to the breakdown of systemic barriers and the development of equitable solutions organization-wide.

Pratt is a Community Arts partner for the Creative Advantage program

The Creative Advantage is a public-private partnership to reinvest in Seattle’s students and our community’s economic and creative future. Founding partners are the City of Seattle’s Office of Arts & Culture, Seattle Public Schools and the Seattle Foundation.

Pohlman Knowles Scholarships. This scholarship was founded by and named in honor of artists Jenny Pohlman and Sabrina Knowles to provide ongoing art opportunities for Seattle’s high school students, with particular emphasis on inner-city high school youth.
