Fusing
Pratt’s Fusing Studio offers a welcoming environment for artists of all levels to explore the art of glass fusing and slumping. Equipped with professional kilns, our studio provides the perfect space to experiment with fusing glass pieces and slumping them into stunning forms.
Glassblowing
Pratt’s Hot Shop is a vibrant, inclusive space where artists of different levels can experience the art of glassblowing. Our Hot Shop offers the opportunity to gather molten glass and create stunning pieces in a supportive community. With access to professional equipment, artists can develop their skills while expressing their unique creativity.
Coldworking
Pratt’s Cold Shop is Seattle’s only publicly accessible space dedicated to the art of cold working. Open to all artists, our Cold Shop offers a safe environment where artists can explore techniques such as cutting, grinding, and polishing glass. With a wide range of professional equipment, artists can craft intricate glass pieces while honing their coldworking skills.
Flameworking
Pratt’s Flameworking Studio is an inviting space for artists of all levels to explore the intricate art of working with borosilicate and soft glass using small torches. Artists can experiment with various techniques to create detailed glass pieces, from beads to sculptures.
Hot Casting
In our hot casting classes artists can practice casting techniques using sand, steel, organic materials, and molds. Our Hot Shop offers a unique opportunity to explore this unique art form in a supportive and creative environment.
Kiln Casting
Kiln Casting techniques empower artists to explore the transformative art of glass casting through hands-on practice. In the mold making room, artists explore essential skills in wax working, silicone mold-making, and plaster mold-making before casting their work in glass using kilns.

The Hot Shop
Pratt's hot shop is available for both blowing and casting glass.
- 1000 lb. Spiral Arts Furnace
- 3 glory holes of 12″, 18″ and 21″ diameter appropriate for any size work
- annealing included with access, access options for more space and/or longer cycles
- full array of hand tools, pipes, garage, powder booth, hot plate, oxygen/propane torches
The Cold Shop
The only rentable cold shop in Seattle!

Pratt’s studio is fully equipped to meet the needs of flameworking artists at any level.
